Owner of surrogacy agencies sentenced to six years in state prison
By Hudson Sangree - Bee Staff Writer
A woman who owned two Sacramento surrogacy agencies and took thousands of dollars from clients without providing services was sentenced to six years in state prison Friday and ordered to pay restitution to her victims.
Nanette Lynn Delp, 41, pleaded no contest last month to embezzlement charges and agreed to the prison term imposed by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Patrick Marlette.
Prosecutors accused Delp of bilking childless couples of hundreds of thousands of dollars and leaving surrogate mothers with unpaid hospital bills.
Delp still faces a hearing to determine the amount of restitution she must pay to her victims.
I would like to know the name of the attorney that defended the parents cause as i am now in a similar state
